#1, #2, a bit of #17, #48 (and so a bit of #75) #55

Day 1.

The challenge has started well, with me crossing #1 and #2 off the list. I feel that I've cheated a bit with 'put a blog together' and 'write the list' but actually, keeping this blog going will be a challenge when I'm tired and stretched for time and writing the list was a mammoth task. I was up until 2am last night compiling that lot.

Then today we went to the cinema with William and Ruby (#48). We watched the Princess and the Frog (one of my three for #75). I don't think there was enough mention of bottoms or trumps for will's liking but Ruby seemed to be satisfied with the princess factor. We've promised we'll take Will to see the Chipmunks next, hopefully that will have more crass humour for the ever-so-hard-to-please 5 year old.

So, 3 tasks completed, £6 in the pot (#17) and 3 on the way.

I also picked up the camera for the first time in nearly 2 whole years. Photography used to be a big part of my life but I lost track of it when I couldn't put the time to it that I needed to in order to feel satisfied with the results. I only clicked a few snaps of the cat and the chickens but I feel excited about taking photos of the children again. I know I'll be sad in years to come when I notice a 2 year void of pictures from their childhood. Yay to 101 in 1001 for making me realise I don't need to be a perfect photographer to capture memories that mean so much more.

And don't forget #55. I say it every day anyway but it is more by habit than actually sitting down and being grateful for my family. So I gave out 3 very well considered 'I love you's today.

  3. I'd meet for cake in Norwich ;o) Your postcards - is there a plan for getting those (ie www.postcrossing.com) or can I offer to send you one? I'm a bit hooked on postcrossing and have a huge stash of cards here! And I don't want to be niggly, but did you know you've got change a trye on the list twice?

PS. I've just started taking photos again and have a gap since pretty much early 2008. It's been a long time coming, but it feels ok x
